Quinnipiac University's School of Business and School of Law Offers New Health Care Certificate

Quinnipiac University's School of Business and School of Law will offer a Health Care Compliance Certificate beginning in the fall 2005. The Quinnipiac University Health Care Compliance Program will provide qualified students with a sound academic foundation and the skills for practical implementation required to function as competent and knowledgeable health care compliance professional. The first stage in the creation of Quinnipiac University's health care compliance certificate program was to identify educational requirements for training health care compliance professionals. Guiding principles were established to facilitate program admission criteria, course content, and rigor. Quinnipiac's health care compliance program is the first program in the US to receive accreditation from the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA). Quinnipiac's program represents one of the first undertakings to provide consistent graduate education for the compliance profession. The collaborative effort between the university, HCCA, and Health Care Compliance Board provides a framework for future university-based programs.
