Zusammenfassung:It's not that GM hasn't had experience in developing and building hybrid vehicles. They presently have almost 400 hybrid powertrain buses operating in 18 cities in the United States, and the company has delivered a hybrid bus to China for test and evaluation in Shanghai. The powertrain for these buses was developed by the Allison Division. It is the Allison EP40/EP50 unit, and it is known as a two-mode hybrid/ electric system.
