Zusammenfassung: | The half tunnel was excavated as two full height parallel slots running the full length of the tunnel, namely the initial outer slot immediately adjacent to the existing road followed by the inner slot. Drilling for blast holes on a 1 m x 1 m grid was undertaken from the road, that is, perpendicular to the direction of the tunnel advance. This required the creation of an initial cubby by means of a burn cut. |
