Zusammenfassung: | One ongoing and particularly significant source of competitive advantage for Canada over its NAFTA partners is its trucking industry. In terms of basic infrastructure and progressiveness of the regulatory environment in the 3 countries, Canada compares favorably with Mexico and the US. Almost 80% of all money spent on freight transported on this continent is earned by trucking firms. One of the benefits of NAFTA will be the harmonization of standards between the 3 trading partners and the elimination of barriers that restrict the free flow of goods and services. |
