Zusammenfassung: | It seems that e-learning will become an inevitable, integral part of life as the world moves towards a society in which continuous learning is absolutely necessary for everyone. In recent years, improved communication infrastructures and technologies have already brought down the cost of delivering online courses. Many higher education institutions have already made the transition to online training by contracting technology and courseware providers, such as CBT Systems or WebCT among the best known in the world, to design the infrastructure needed for customizing their own online programs. As e-learning continues to gain popularity in society, it has also fueled remarkable growth in the number of service providers that specialize in helping migrate to the new web-based platform. These service providers offer services ranging from helping the higher education institutions with the technical aspects of creating online content to more elaborate offerings such as web hosting and the designing an entire online program. |
