Zusammenfassung:Personal income rose 0.7% in 3rd qtr 1992 after rising 1.0% and 1.5% in the second and first quarters, respectively. However, only 12 states reported income growth during the quarter, while 38 states reported slowdowns. Iowa and Alaska had the greatest increases, but no particular industry was responsible for the gains. Because of Hurricanes Iniki and Andrew, Hawaii saw a decline in personal income, and Florida and Louisiana were among the slow-growing states. Other causes of slowdowns were decreasing farm income and cuts in manufacturing and construction payrolls.
