ESA Head Says Goodbye, Berates Industry

[Doug Lowenstein]'s statements come on the crest of a wave of controversy about violent games, for which the ESA has been the primary public defender. Game companies themselves typically assert that they have "no comment," while the ESA carries the flag into battle. It's true that publishers pay for what the ESA does, but there's also something to be said for fighting one's own battles, especially as developers are often primarily responsible for these games' violent or sexual content.
