Do hazmat regs affect you?

The US Department of Transportation recently published a proposed regulation that would change the registration and fee-assessment program for persons or companies who transport, or offer for transportation, certain categories and quantities of hazardous materials. Changes to the hazardous-materials registration program proposed by DOT's Research and Special Programs Administration would increase the number of people or other entities required to register and dramatically increase the annual registration fee for shippers and carriers who do not qualify as a small business under Small Business Administration criteria.
