Zusammenfassung:Wind power is a great beneficiary of the production tax credit for renewable resources, so it was good news that the Energy Policy Act of 2005 extended the placed-in-service date for renewable energy resources through Dec 31, 2007. And it means that more wind development is on the way. Utility Wind Interest Group's (UWIG) wind plant modeling and interconnection user group helps develop detailed computer models for use in power system load flow, short circuit, and stability studies. UWIG wants to involve more grid operators, who can benefit from the models.
