Zusammenfassung: | The use of physical paper or digital files is not an either/or choice. The two are complementary. Recently, a rich set of consumer devices has begun to emerge that bridge the physical/digital interface. Many cell phones, for example, now include cameras that can transmit images to email. Today, prescription labels can speak directions directly to sight-impaired consumers. These products typically embed electronic devices directly onto the label, each storing dosage and refill information. Specialized readers are used to read this information to the user. The label may also include a separate mark for accessing the manufacturer's website. The consumer can then access all medicine-related services without the need of a specialized device. |
