Zusammenfassung: | The curriculum for the "Decision: Earth" free teaching kits provided to public schools by Procter & Gamble Co. (P&G) is drawing criticism from some environmentalists who say it contains misinformation designed to further the interest of the leading consumer products company. Among the lessons included in the kit: 1. Timber clear-cutting stimulates growth and feeds animals. 2. Disposable diapers are as environmentally sound as cloth diapers. 3. Incineration is like recycling. Critics have asked attorneys general in 11 states to investigate the kits. They say P&G ignored some of its own advice. P&G owns leading household brands ranging from Crest toothpaste to Scope mouthwash and Tide detergent. Its Pampers and Luvs dominate the disposable diaper market. |
