Zusammenfassung:President Bush signed the Pension Protection Act of 2006 on Aug. 17, 2006. this act has made numerous reforms to the pension-benefit system and created many opportunities in the retirement-planning marketplace. Some of the major IRA opportunities that will benefit you and your clients now and in the coming years are discussed. The act has made increased contribution limits for IRAs permanent. Beginning Jan. 1, 2008, direct rollovers from qualified retirement plans 401(k), 403(b) and 457 will be allowed to roll over directly into a Roth IRA. Advisors who understand the highlights of the Pension Act concerning IRAs have a unique chance to educate their clients about the new opportunities.
