Zusammenfassung:The Manitoba Teachers' Society (MTS) staff officer visited Haiti as part of the Educational Leadership Internship program, offered by the Université de SaintBoniface (USB) and Centre de Recherche, de Formation et d'Intervention Psychologique in Haiti. The partnership, supported by a number of local sponsors including MTS, saw four Manitoba educators, including Ould Baba, travel to work with teachers and school leaders on the island of 11 million people. Jules Rocque from USB, Michelle Jean-Paul from Seven Oaks and Mayur Raval, a retired principal from DSFM, rounded out the Manitoba delegation. Ould Baba was struck by the incredible resilience of teachers where, in 2010, a devastating earthquake claimed over 200,000 lives, left over 300,000 injured and over half the country's schools in rubble.
