Zusammenfassung:At Scripps College,, a private liberal arts women's school in Southern California, architects recently renovated an old art studio on campus, transforming it into the college's first ever campus commons. Included in the project was a newly created kitchen and servery, which now serves as a centralized dining hall for Scripps' over 700 students and the campus community, including students from the surrounding Claremont College campuses. The project began six years ago when campus administrators announced a new long-term strategic plan to reinforce a strong campus community. Creating a dedicated student center was one of the main cornerstones of the plan. Another important objective was to centralize all campus foodservice operations into one servery in the new center.
