Zusammenfassung:Catholics who have followed the convoluted journey of the proposed revision of the Roman Lectionary for Mass, commonly known as the inclusive language lectionary, can now puzzle over the latest revelation. A June July 1997 newsletter from the U.S. bishops' Committee on the Liturgy reports that the joint working group of U.S. bishops and Vatican representatives preferred to translate portions of the Bible inaccurately rather than appear to concede to demands for more inclusive word choices.
