Two years after Katrina

For the past three years, the Neighborhood Story Project, a documentary writing project in New Orleans, has been working with people around the city to help them produce books about their communities - as the project's Web site puts it, to "create portraits of our places." The books, she wrote, "serve now almost as modern time capsules, as pictures andstories about the places that were washed away when the levees broke and still remain damaged and destroyed."
