Zusammenfassung: | Without adequate video capabilities, an organization may experience inefficient communications, resulting from either misunderstandings or unnecessary travel. Medium-sized to large enterprises can benefit from any of 4 principal classes of video-enabled applications: 1. videoconferencing, 2. video mail, 3. broadcast video distribution, and 4. video-on-demand (VOD). According to both Forward Concepts and Frost & Sullivan, the overall videoconferencing product market will grow from its present level of approximately $1 billion to more than $5 billion by 2001. Frost & Sullivan also say that associated service revenues are expected to grow from approximately $6 billion to more than $22 billion in the same time frame. |
