[...]I have written about three layers of inquiry for the purpose of increasing opportunity for students' mathematical thinking in the classroom. If not, then a redesign process is necessary as tasks or modes of working on the task are varied until what is desired is achieved. Since teachers are under heavy pressure from many demands, working alone in such ways is very difficult; creating an inquiry community with colleagues provides encouragement and support and a sharing of experiences that helps sustain the activity. |
