Processing techniques for handling multiple spectra

This approach is sometimes referred to as "mean centering" of the difference spectra (7). It can generate difference spectra for each analysis, showing the variation of the individual spectra from the set mean or average spectrum (Figure 4). With mean centering of the difference spectra, the differences between the individual spectra are magnified by the removal of the spectral similarities. This allows a rapid visual assessment of the possible differences.
