Zusammenfassung: | A changing world is putting packaging on the consumer's agenda in new ways. People want packaging to respond to their new demands. Concerns about the environment and about personal safety are growing. Over the next decade, the sustainability of packaging will come under closer scrutiny. Reducing waste, saving energy and, in particular, trying to respond to global warming, will lead far more people to consider the environmental impacts of the packaging they use. As well as being attractive to look at and handle, paper must have a positive future story to tell. The paper sector can work to seize the high ground, and distinguish itself from alternatives. Paper has to tell a new story not cling to an old one. |
