Zusammenfassung: | Electronic bill payment and presentment (EBPP) is touted for its potential to help credit unions cut costs while increasing member retention and satisfaction. Mid-Atlantic Corporate Federal Credit Union's electronic bill payment implementation illustrates the process required to launch a program that achieves those benefits. In 1996, Mid-Atlantic Corp.'s annual exercise of self-assessment, member surveys, and focus groups determined there was a need for wholesale electronic bill payment services in the credit union industry. The Middletown, PA-based corporate then spent about 9 months developing service requirements in 4 areas: 1. system features, 2. delivery channel, 3. credit union integration, and 4. processing requirements. |
