Zusammenfassung:The laser reference chord measurement achieves track geometry accuracy of better than c1 mm. Combined with the satellite measurements, the position of the chord can be exported as DB-Ref co-ordinates with a high degree of accuracy (Fig 4). In this way, lifting and lining correction values for the tamping machine can be established by comparing the absolute target co-ordinates with the measured ones.
