East Meets West and a visit to Austrian Patent Office

Participated in East Meets West, or an annual forum on Asian Patent Information organized by the European Patent Office in Vienna. The purpose of the conference is distribution and usage of Asian Patent Information and the experts in Patent Offices, patent information user, patent data provider, and patent searchers from all over the world gather. In recent years, user’s needs that want to use data effectively have been expanded not only data of Japan, China and Korea, but also India and the Middle East. The presentation about these regions have been held so that this forum has become event of wide range of patent information. This article introduces this year’s East Meets West forum and my visit to Austrian Patent Office.
