Zusammenfassung:Every subscriber sends channel quality messages at regular intervals to the base station. Depending on the quality of the mobile radio channel, the basestation selects the appropriate data packet modulation and coding to keep transmission errors to an acceptable level and to optimise the allocation of resources at the air interface. The QPSK (quadrature phase shift keying) and 16QAM (16-state quadrature amplitude modulation) modulation methods are available to the basestation.
