Zusammenfassung:From the historic environs in St Augustine, the nation's oldest city, where golf is enshrined; to the chic urban scene in Miami, where the nightlife lasts till dawn; to the flip-flops and frozen drinks lifestyle that's become synonymous with the Keys, Florida's East Coast offers a plethora of unique settings and venues. A well-developed infrastructure provides group options galore in transportation, hotels, attractions, sports activities, meeting facilities, and themed events. After suffering through the historic, four-storm 2004 hurricane season, Florida's east coast is making a strong comeback, from Jacksonville all the way down to down to Daytona Beach. In St Augustine, things are completely back to normal, says Jay Humphrey, communications director at the St Augustine, Ponte Vedra and The Beaches VCB. And in Daytona Beach, 80% of the city's hotel rooms are back on line, according to Susan McLain, director of public relations at the Daytona Beach CVB.
