Zusammenfassung: | The challenge in updating the INS with both GPS and radar measurements derives from the synchronization of the measurements. For this application, the GPS and radar measurements are provided at approximately the same rate. However, there is no guarantee that they are synchronized. GAINS implements an algorithm to time-align the radar and GPS data in order to simplify the software mechanization. The Kaiman filter update is executed only once per expected GPS and radar measurement cycle. |
