Zusammenfassung: | The capacity of Plant No.2, a wastewater treatment plant owned and operated by the Orange County Sanitation District (OCSD); Fountain Valley CA), is limited by sludge bulking. This factor, in turn, limits the solids and hydraulic loads that can be applied to the plant's secondary clarifiers. To address this issue and ultimately increase the plant's average and peak secondary treatment capacity, OCSD studied the feasibility of adding selector zones to some of the facility's aeration basins. |
