Zusammenfassung:To date, limited recourse financing to power projects has been confined to extending loans and guarantees to green field generation projects.On the other hand, there is a large potential demand for financing acquisitions of equity stakes in private power projects as a number of power developers mainly in the US and UK are seeking opportunities to sell their assets in emerging economies. Japanese utilities, for example, aiming to expand their overseas business, are emerging as potential purchasers.
