In an interview, Don Mischer, producer and founder of Don Mischer Productions, talked about plans for this year's Emmy Awards and how he makes live television come to life. Mischer revealed that they are having their first meetings with the Television Academy and CBS to talk about what they want to do this year, conscious of the fact that they have a lot of challenges with trying to maintain ratings and create a show that people will want to watch, so they're going to be exploring that process very soon. When it comes to the Emmy Awards, it is complicated because the primetime show presents more awards for the allotted time than any other award show on television. This year they're going to try to help the viewer get more involved.
