Zusammenfassung: | Businesses increasingly look to temporary workers as an essential part of their staffing strategy. All too often, however, managers waste this tremendous resource through insufficient planning before they arrive on the job and inadequate direction after they start work. To make the most of your temporary workers, some specific points should be kept in mind. They include: 1. Determine the scope of the job. 2. Orient your temporary workers. 3. Provide clear and accurate instructions. Does your organization track expense related to turnover? If not, you may be missing a tremendous opportunity to reduce a significant drain on your company's resources. The first step in controlling turnover costs is to determine your organization's overall attrition rate and the attrition rate of key positions in your company. This calculation is derived by dividing the total number of employees in your organization by the number of those who have left on a voluntary and involuntary basis. |
