Off the map

Nearly 50 million vacationers hit the beaches in June, July, and August. More than 1/3 of them travel 100 miles or more to dip their toes into oceans, the Gulf, or the Great Lakes. A snapshot of vacationers at a few of the nation's swimming holes is presented.
