Besides communication capability, some newer trends are solid-state overload relays and highly modular systems of numerous devices. Recent product introductions include 2 major modular systems. Siemens' Sirius 3R line takes the idea of docking from space station structures to refine the art of connecting modular pieces. Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley's Modular Control System promotes the notion of decentralized motor management. Among trends noted at Cutler-Hammer/Eaton are motor starters based on the microprocessor unit. |
