Special Forces: selecting and training officers for adaptability

The Special Forces (SF) Group has used its training pipeline as a means of training and selecting soldiers to ensure the mission success and maximize the effectiveness of SF training. They opine that the type of warfare being conducted in Afghanistan and Iraq illustrates the need for SF leaders who must adapt if they are to succeed, and from the lessons learned in this warfare, Special Warfare Center and School is ensuring that SF soldiers will be prepared to meet the demands of future engagements.
