Zusammenfassung: | The Army continues to implement the transformation processes set in motion by Gen Erik K. Shinseki, where the first Stryker Brigade Combat Team deployed in November 2003 to support Operation Iraqi Freedom and took place in the city of Samarra. Here, Thompson shares some of the lessons learned during the support of the Arrowhead Brigade by the 296th Brigade Support Batallion (BSB) especially in the aspects of training, deployment, and combat operations. He opines that through innovative thinking and plain old anticipatory logistics, the BSB can support the brigade across a dispersed battlefield and can split its resources to meet brigade requirements. |
