Zusammenfassung:Cache Valley virus (CVV) is one of relatively few viruses found to contaminate biologics manufactured in Chinese hamster ovary cells. This member of the Bunyaviridae family infects livestock throughout North America, and is believed to enter the biologics production processes through contaminated fetal bovine serum used in the cell growth medium. We describe the detection of CVV in Chinese hamster ovary cell-derived biologics over a 10-year period. [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
