Whatever the cause, when people feel that their stress load is too heavy, they respond in emotional, behavioral or physiological ways that can be harmful. Too much stress over a long period of time almost always leads to health disorders. With all the stressors that exist in today's work environment, it is essential for people to become the focus of any initiative to create a healthy office. The goal is to help people in offices work more effectively, while eliminating dangers to their health - both physical and psychological. To reduce stress, one must deal with the source of the problem - the design and organization of work. |
