Zusammenfassung: | Just, as the saying goes, you have to spend money to make money, in today's economic climate an increased investment in information technology likely will result in cost savings and increased productivity, according to Gartner Inc, Stamford, CT. Managing IT costs is not just about buying the hardware and software. The big spending is in the delivery of IT services to design, build, deploy and manage those assets, said Frances Karaouzis, research VP at Gartner. In a separate report, Gartner identified four specific levels within an organization that IT investments can help businesses optimize business costs. These include: 1. enabling innovation and business restructuring, 2. joint business and IT cost savings, 3. cost savings within IT, and 4. IT procurement. |
