Zusammenfassung:Unlike Z21 testing of gas appliances in the United States, in which just three test gases are used, the CE test procedure for gas appliances manufactured for sale and use throughout Europe requires an additional 20 to 30 gas blends. To help appliance manufacturers meet the goal of worldwide compliance in the most efficient manner possible, the testing organization CSA International utilizes a unique, self-designed gas-mixing device. The device permits CSA, which frequently conducts testing as a partner with notified bodies who certify products under EU directives, to perform compliance testing in the laboratory with gases precisely formulated to match those supplied in North America, EU member countries, and other countries, as well. One obvious benefit to manufacturers is that they can easily determine if their product design performs as required under all anticipated combinations of gas type and supply pressures through tests performed in a single laboratory setting.
