High test

With the increasing population growth in the mountain areas of the US and Canada, more gas-fired products are being installed at high elevations. As a result, safety and performance testing at higher altitudes has become an important issue in the design of new and existing gas fired products. Newer appliances need to be tested at high altitudes to determine how they should be installed, whether derating is necessary, and if derating is needed, how much is necessary. Gas Consultants, Inc. has established a high-altitude facility in Colorado to performing listing-agency types of tests, and product-development and verification tests that meet and may exceed the listing agencies requirements for product certification/listing.
