Will j-school degrees change the face of British newspapers?

British reporters have traditionally learned their craft on the job, not in the classroom. The situation will now change, however, with the addition of journalism degree programs at the London College of Printing, Lancaster Polytechnic and City University. A few British editors support the programs, but most disdain them. Few British editors attended college.
