He was 77 years old. O'Connell first joined the ASOR Board as an Associate Trustee in 1976, and he remained an Associate Trustee until 1982. He was appointed an Honorary Trustee in mid-1996 and held that position until his death. Born in Boston, MA, he entered the Society of Jesus in 1956 and was ordained in 1969. |
