Zusammenfassung: | According to Michael Marquardt, author of "Leading with Questions," disempowering questions focus on the negative reasons, such as "What's the problem with your project?" Instead, for example, an empowering way to phrase it would be "How do you feel about your project so far?" Empowering questions allow students to think outside of the box. According to Marquardt (2014), there are six hallmarks that create a questioning culture: * Willingness to admit, "I don't know." * Going beyond allowing questions to encouraging questions, developing the skills needed to ask questions in a positive way. * Focusing on asking empowering questions and avoiding disempowering questions. * Emphasizing the process of asking questions and searching for answers, rather than finding the "right" answers. * Accepting and rewarding risk-taking." |
