Zusammenfassung: | On Feb 23, Berlin's space-age Bauhaus Archive museum packed up its collection of the Bauhaus Highlights--an exhibition featuring the top 100 pieces of furniture, graphic arts, photography, architectural models, ceramics and chairs by the late, great design leaders--for at least the next four years. While the museum is separate from the actual Bauhaus school, the government is allocating $31.5 million USD for a new museum building at its present location and an expansion, which will reopen for the 100-year anniversary of the Bauhaus in 2019. The new museum will house classic masterworks alongside contemporary pieces. Here, Sayej features 15 of the institution's 100 most important works. |
