Zusammenfassung:There are only a handful of required driver training topics in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR). The few specific requirements for a motor carrier that is not hauling hazardous materials apply only to drivers of vehicles that require the driver to possess a commercial driver's license for operation. These training requirements address entry-level driver training, education/instruction on drug and alcohol testing requirements, and longer combination vehicle (LCV) training (if applicable). In addition to these specific training issues, Section 390.3(e) of the FMCSRs states that drivers and employees must be instructed in and comply with the regulations, but it does not include specifics as to delivery, documentation, or time. There are specific requirements that must be met addressing entry-level driver training, alcohol and drug training for drivers, and LCV training (if applicable). There are also general provisions (as listed in Sec. 390.3(e)) that apply to all of the FMCSRs.
