Zusammenfassung: | To support resource-informed decision-making, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Cost and Economics (DASA-CE) provides many tools, including the Operating and Support (O&S) Cost Web Portal, where an integrated view of the cost of equipment, personnel and units can be obtained to inform resource and acquisition managers making tough decisions in a post-war budget-constrained environment. DASA-CE tools and data are also routinely used to inform the Capability Portfolio Review process. DASA-CE also has a priority to make the data easily accessible to users. Operating and Support Management Information System (OSMIS) has always leveraged the most advanced information technology to proactively "push the data" to users and provide the latest in Web site performance and intuitive design. Due to DASA-CE leadership and emphasis on its value, OSMIS remains an incredibly relevant and effective cost management tool. Successfully linking O&S consumption and cost directly to the weapon system, there is no other source of information like it in the Army. |
