Vitamin D levels predicted inflammation, short-term mortality risk

According to study data, odds of death were not associated with baseline 25-hydroxyvitamin D level, but significantly decreased by 46% (95% CI, 2-70) for a double increase in the most recent 25-hydroxyvitamin D level.
