Zusammenfassung: | Customers are making their lists and checking them twice as they head to the aisles -- and online -- to find the best gifts. In 20 years of tracking holiday shopping trends, CEA has observed some major shifts in the holiday wish list. Tablets are top-of-mind, with 26% of shoppers planning to purchase one as a gift, followed by smartphones (24%) and notebook/laptop computers (23%). Many shoppers plan on gifting CE accessories this year. Forty percent of shoppers say they will purchase headphones and earbuds, making these the most popular accessory. Fitness technologies, smartwatches and home energy management technologies are among emerging technologies that are opening up opportunities for retailers this holiday season. |
