Zusammenfassung:This article presents an excerpt from the monograph recently published by 'Print' magazine entitled 'Mirko Ilic: Fist to Face' which describes the work and career of the Yugoslavian-born designer Mirko Ilic (b. 1956). Ilic worked as a designer for an automobile magazine called 'Start' before joining a new publication in the mid-1980s called 'Danas.' 'Danas' aimed to present a modern and contemporary image of what was Yugoslavia and over three years Ilic and his team designed around 150 covers and illustrations, before leaving the magazine in 1985 and moving to America.
