Zusammenfassung: | Ron is a trained dancer who, like many before her, realised that dance is not just an art form, it is expression. Dance is a language. She can have a dialogue with others; she can have a dialogue with her deepest hidden thoughts; and she would not have to say a single word. Before starting her training to become a dance movement therapist, Ron admits to have had prejudices and assumptions about the therapist-patient relationship. She believed that a patient is one that needs "fixing". As a placement student, Ron has observed the work of Dance Voice therapists with clients. She finds that the therapists at Dance Voice regard the client as one to be respected, not "fixed". |
