Zusammenfassung: | Some Las Vegas industry leaders still believe that most meeting attendees come to town ready to party hearty. Others in the industry now place such a strong focus on health and wellness that it would be virtually impossible for meeting attendees to cut into a thick, rare steak at their convention hotels. That said, most hotel executives recognize that both meeting planners and attendees are placing more attention on healthy options these days, in everything from F&B and recreation to teambuilding exercises that get people up and moving. In fact, there appears to be a major trend toward incorporating healthier aspects into Las Vegas meetings and events. Ask H. Fletch Brunelle, SVP sales and marketing for Bellagio, and he will tell you that virtually all of the 600 to 700 meetings that are held there in a given year are healthier meetings. He says that they focus on healthy types of food, using low-calorie, heart-healthy, low-starch ingredients. |
